WRINNGARTH EP
The very beginning of Merlin's saga. Recorded in a bedroom through a tube with one mic, alot of samples and absolutely no direction for it. Originally printed on a extremely limited run of hand drawn CDs with our contact info on them and released for free to the public. Over time we kept getting likes on our Facebook page and the EP ended up gathering us a small following of weirdos, which served as a backbone to our career. Were forever grateful to those who have been with us since this Humble dumb ass EP released. Merlin loves you.

2012 Merlin was alot different than 2022 Merlin. We had little to no instruments to our name... a Line 6 Amp, Rock Band Drums, a Kaossilator, old beat up guitars and a Casio Keyboard from the 90s. We never knew what kind of project we were starting so we simply made weird ass music. Maybe it was to out weird the previous song. Maybe its because we went mad with magic we couldn't handle. Whatever it is, the long deleted albums have finally made the light of day, on this the 10th anniversary of the band.
Can a modern era Merlin fan handle old school Merlin? You be the judge of that.
The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points.
This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+... rick-taylor
For some reason, what I previewed and the real songs was somewhat different - maybe because of the cover art?
But I definitely don't regret something more spacial than expected. The recent Ocean drifting in space. frankwurst
The prolific Japanese metal band keep on giving, putting a new spin on their 2011 track "Pardon?" as well as a Yuletide classic. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 15, 2021
It's only four tracks, yes, but it's four tracks of great cosmic psychedelia.
